Once you form a vision and keep it actively in your mind, you will find inspiring action taking you closer to the manifestation of the image in your head. We have developed a clear vision for our band, briefly described as "playing for big crowds on the big stages".
A couple of weeks ago, correlating inspired action "happened to us". We got in touch with top-notch producer Henry Hirsch. His credits include Lenny Kravitz (20-year cooperation), Madonna, Michael Jackson, Mick Jagger and Lionel Richie.
Guess what happened: one day later, he wrote back and is going to record us! We were (and still are) super thrilled!
So, from this Saturday on, we'll be in the studio with Henry for several days, and record. The aim is to capture our high-energy performances (as you know them) in a 6-song EP using the church hall-sound recording of Henry's studio, inspired by the recent works of The Lumineers, Mumford & Sons, Bright Eyes, Andrew Bird and the like.
The CD is not only going to be full of engaging, catchy and entertaining
songs, it also tells a story in the way the songs are laid out.
Thus, it can be called a concept album.
Endless Skyway
is the overture of the CD and sets the theme and mood. It points to
the infinite possibilities there are in our experience as souls in
human bodies. Then the listener is being picked up where he/she is:
life has its ups and downs, but it's fun and vibrant: The Go-Between.
In all this wordliness, we do dream of utopias of ideal conditions.
That is what Trail of the Lonesome Pine
expresses. And when we're in nature, like on such a trail, we connect
with our inner spirit. Perfect Isolation
talks about this empowerment from our internal world. In all of that
self-development, we're still human beings with our so-called "flaws". That Thing You Didn't Do
is a cheeky and fun song that reminds us of that. So, it's time you
Lay Your Burden Down
and live the life you want to live. And finally, we remember how
motivating it is to Dare to Dream.
I know, I know, there are seven songs listed here. So, we still have to make one tough call - or six, depending on your point of view.
For the replication phase, we will be putting up a "kickstarter" campaign. We'll keep you posted on the progress!
Thanks for your support and for staying in touch
